The Ultimate Hair Colors for Olive Skin Tones

If you’re after that perfect hair shade to match your skin tone, knowing which color is best suited to you can be a bit of a struggle. So we’ve put together a simple guide on which hair colors are the most flattering to your olive skin tone.

Turns out skin tone is not the only factor to consider if you’re seeking that perfect shade. Your undertone plays a major role in finding the ultimate hair color for you. Undertones are split primarily into 3 categories: cool, warm or neutral. Except in rare cases, olive skin typically tends to have slightly warmer undertones.

But first: figuring out your skin’s undertone

To figure out which category you fall under, just examine the veins in your wrist. Figure out the color they most closely match: green means you have a warm undertone, while blue or purple means your undertone is cool. If you find you have a mix of both then you fit into the neutral category.

For that fiery life – red hair, if done properly can look absolutely stunning on your complexion. Try a coppery red as it will contrast the cooler blues of your undertone and compliment your skin.

Go red girl! Your perfect shade of red is an Auburn, or a more purple-based red! Think aubergine or dark cherry to really deepen the colors of your skin tone and make you glow!

Want to go blonde? Try a caramel shade, it’ll make the golden hues of your skin standout and bonus points if you have brown or hazel eyes’ because they’ll really pop with this shade!
