Know More: Fourth Ray Beauty!

Fourth Ray Beauty launched in late 2018 and has seen been taking the skincare world by storm. Its slogan is skincare for the beauty obsessed and I have not heard a statement that fits me more! It is the sister company of Colourpop which makes it easily accessible, affordable, and actually really good! Since I am on the Colourpop webpage almost everyday I usually browse the Fourth Ray Beauty section regularly and have purchased almost every product in their line. So buckle up because we’re about to go through the good, the bad, and the pure unnecessary.

Vitamin C Elixir:

I was so excited about this product from the moment I saw it, added it to my cart, and up until the first time I used it. It is part serum and part oil and claims to enhance skin’s radiance for a brighter luminous complexion. I am a sucker for anything that claims to give me a brighter complexion and a glowy finish but this product just wasn’t it. Apart from the fresh orange smell and the beautiful packaging I did not find this product to do much for my skin. On the contrary, it broke me out and gave me an oily look instead of the glow from within I was promised. My recommendation is to skip this product.

Glisten Up Vitamin C Mist:

In the same line as the Vitamin C Elixir is the glisten up vitamin C mist. Again I had high hopes for this product and unlike its counterpart, the mist did not disappoint! Let’s start with the packaging. It comes in a clear bottle which allows you to be mesmerized with all the glitter particles in the mist. I often find myself shaking the bottle like a lava lamp, trust me on this and give it a try! Now for the good stuff, the mist claims to “enhance your skin with a hydrated glow. Infused with Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Camu Camu, and White Tea to support a radiant complexion.” The mist meets all its claims and more. I spritz it on my face and instantaneously I have a luminous look glowy look. Think fresh healthy skin and that is what this mist does! A major bonus is the scent. Give me orange-scented anything and I’m sold!

Opalite Crystal Gua Sha:

Facial tools are all the rage at the moment so naturally, I had to try some. I purchased the rose quartz roller and the Gua Sha and out of both I much prefer the Gua Sha. The Gua Sha itself is a product and a treatment. You move the tool in an upward motion along your face and this technique is meant to reduce facial tension giving you a mini face massage, promote blood circulation, and tighten your skin giving you the appearance of a facelift. From the very first time I have used this tool, I saw a difference. My skin looked better and my face looked slimmer. I don’t know if this is a placebo effect but all I know is that I used the facial roller and did not see the same results and for that reason, I say give the Gua Sha a chance you might be surprised!
