5 Nostalgic ’90s Kids Games’

Your childhood is the most beautiful of all life’s seasons – don’t you agree? We’re sure you will when we give you the nostalgic feels with these 90’s kids games that you absolutely loved. Which one was your favorite?

Lakhoti Marbles

Ooo, Marbles! If you grew up in the 90’s you definitely remember playing with these. Lakhoti was a schoolyard game in which kids would place marbles together and try to get each one of them to a target point by hitting it with a marble of their choice. It was all about the angles and concentration!

Pop-pop Boats

Ah! The days before technology took over. Pop-pop boats were the biggest attraction every time kids were taken to a toy store back in the ’90s. The boats were powered by a vegetable oil burner or candle and would make a sound as it moved through the water. Did you pretend to be a captain or a pirate?

Battling tops

Although this game was huge in the 90’s it was actually made all the way back in the late ’60s! Kids were very competitive at this and watched once they launched their spinning tops into the circular arena. Whoever’s top stayed spinning the longest was victorious! Remember the pain of burning your finger on the pull-string from launching it too hard? Whatever it took to win!

Hungry Hippos

Chomp, chomp! If you didn’t have this game, at least a few of your friends certainly did, meaning you still got to spend plenty of time mashing the buttons as hard as possible to chomp those pesky marbles. Boy, did this game cause a ruckus!

Tamagotchi

How obsessed were you with these!? The Tamagotchi is a handheld digital pet that was created in Japan and made its way around the globe in the 90s, ultimately becoming everyone’s favorite toy! Unfortunately, they stopped selling these all together. Although, there is now an app – it just isn’t the same.
