Fashion for a Cause: Rebuilding Lebanon

What better than an awesome fashion brand working towards a great cause? Due to the recent tragedies in Lebanon, many are left without necessities and essentials be it their food, clothes, and even their homes. Keep reading to find out about some independent designers and brands that have created limited edition items and pieces of clothing to help raise funds and awareness for Lebanon. All proceeds are going to the Lebanese community to aid in rebuilding the beautiful country.

Amongst Few

This premium streetwear brand with a shop on the Palm Strip, Jumeirah Beach Road in the UAE has created limited-edition T-shirts to “support their Lebanese friends and families.” The “Prosperity Tee” is available for pre-order until August 10th, 2020, and will be shipped by the 31st. All proceeds from this product will be donated equally to the Lebanese Red Cross, Impact Lebanon, and Offre Joie in support of those affected by the unfortunate explosion in Beirut, Lebanon.

Talar Nina

This Beirut-based brand has created two cotton tote bags with all proceeds going to Impact Lebanon and the Lebanese Food Bank. The prints on each tote bag were old stamps used during the 60s and 70s, they were found by the Talar Nina team in Beirut last summer whilst exploring Souk Al Ahad.

Ali Cha’aban

Ali Cha’aban, an independent Lebanese artist born and raised in Kuwait, is an observer of culture and traditions which are often reflected in his work. Following the recent incident in Lebanon, he has collaborated with Dubai=based independent brand Nuna Atelier in efforts to raise funds for the Lebanese Red Cross. Cha’aban explains that the “4-8-2020” tee is a tribute to all of the innocent people who lost their lives in the explosion and a token of hope for all those still fighting for justice.

This Custom Arabic lettering reads “Beirut.” Printed in a deep green reminiscent of the emblematic Lebanese cedar designed by Chantal Jahchan is for sale now with 100% of the profits going equally towards Impact Lebanon, the disaster relief Fund, as well as the Lebanese Red Cross.

Nouri Flayhan

Lebanese Illustrator Nouri Flayhan has collaborated with the Dikkeni team in the light of the unfortunate tragedy in Lebanon and has put together these special pieces in solidarity with the incident.
