PUMA x SOLE DXB

For those of who didn’t get the chance to visit the PUMA booth this Sole DXB, here’s what you missed.

Over the 3 days, Puma launched a series of new sneakers, presented to us a number of our FAVE artists and allowed us to get up close and personal with their workshops.

Friday morning kicked off with a special PUMA X Female First Session Special for Sole DXB, with a home team lineup of sets by local faves Elize Went & Megatronic. The day ran on with a short screen filming of “The Thickness” by Sophie Boers, followed by a performance from Dope Saint Jude. Nothing like an afternoon of badass babes, we love it, Girl Power!

Kicking off the weekend with a VIBE, we then witnessed an astounding performance by one of my personal faves, singer, songwriter and producer Masego that took us into the early evening. For those of you who don’t know Masego, I suggest you get on it. The ever so talented vocalist refers to his own music style as “TrapHouseJazz” or “Emotion”, playing live instruments such as the saxophone, drums and keyboard while producing beats on site.

Puma then gave their community access to the Masego workshop where he spoke everything beats, keys and vocals. Giving a wave of new Dubai artist a chance to ask everything music related.

Saturday brought on a whole new vibe where we witnessed an epic performance by R&B singer Dani Leigh. 22-year-old Miami raised, Dominican bred Dani knows how to stand out in a crowd. Always putting on more than a performance with her melodic voice and Caribbean inspired dance moves. Dani’s sultry voice and carefree attitude is just the right combination of sweet and sass.

Ok, ok, for all our sneakerheads let’s talk shoe game!

Puma released a series of kicks during Sole DXB that had every addict impatient to get their hands on a pair.

1. Straight from the Puma archives

The #CELL Venom sneaker incorporates cushioning technology at the heel and a chunky, disruptive design. Accompanied by the #CELL Endura Patent 98, this sneaker is a more bulky, 90’s inspired designer, providing all the chunky good looks you could ask for.
