Pearls have always played an important role in both the fashion and jewellery worlds, but it was mostly the round pearls in white and grey straight from the shell that caught the attention of everyone.

Today it is raw, unrefined pearls with distorted natural shapes from shells that are having a moment. Pearls with soft iridescent white with hints of pink or grey, or iridescent black with hues of green blue or violet that are very much in demand.

Pearls also help reduce allergies and are said to promote sound sleep and overcome fatigue, so it’s only normal that everyone is already adopting this new trend.

WALDBerlin founders Joyce Binneboese and Dana Roski wanted to bring back home the inspirations and sights of their travels with tiny trinkets and create pieces with real materials like shells, sweet water pearls, and silver. Just like that, the women ended up reviving the pearl frenzy.
