Best Brunches in Dubai

I am a bit of a self-proclaimed brunch queen, just waiting a little longer to receive my crown! Low key or over the top, breakfast food or a full-on feast I am here for it. Over my years of living in Dubai, I have been to my fair share of these not quite breakfast, not quite lunch places and learned a thing or two on where to go for which mood and at which price point! If you’re a brunch novice then you’ve come to the right place, so strap in because we’re about to go on an adventure! And if we are just not a brunch person then read on because you might be surprised by what you find!

For the party animal:

Say it after me, it’s not brunch without a party! My favorite brunch for when I am in the mood to dance, party and sing my heart out is Hotel Cartagena (295 DHS) in JW Marriott Marquis located Business Bay. Let’s start off with the Latin American inspired look of the place, talk about insta worthy! Every corner of the place is an artsy picture just waiting to happen. Not only is the restaurant beautiful and vibrant, it is also located on the 72nd floor with floor to ceiling windows guaranteeing views for days! The DJ plays all the trendy tunes to hype you up and put you in the party mood and if it’s possible the dancers are even better! Here you’ll get brunch and a show with dancers in extravagant carnival costumes encouraging you and your friends to dance along. Now to what you’ve been waiting for: THE FOOD! The food comes from a set menu but not to worry because it is more than filling and you can reorder your favorites! The best part of my foodie experience was the dessert which comes in a multi-layered cage. You get an excellent selection and they were honestly mouth-watering.

For the dancer:

If you love salsa dancing and impromptu flash mobs then The Galliard (395 DHS)  located in Downtown Address hotel is where you need to be this Friday! While this brunch is particularly expensive the food and drink selection will make up for it. Small but mighty is how I like to describe it. Don’t go in expecting a large buffet but what you get is truly delicious. For what The Galliard lacks in food selection it makes up for in ambiance and location. During your brunch, you will be entertained by dancers who dance to everything from belly dancing music to salsa classics. You can also expect to be a part of a flash mob led by friendly staff guiding you through every step. As you walk out of the restaurant after a fun afternoon of dancing and getting full up you will be greeted by the most phenomenal view of Burj Khalifa. Snap a few pictures there and your Instagram feed will thank you.

For the professional chiller:

Last but not least if you are looking for a no-fuss brunch with friends or family then Aji in Club Vista Mare is the place for you! The cuisine is Japanese Peruvian and it is beyond words. You get offered a huge selection from a set menu where you can order seconds but trust me you won’t need to because each course is massive. You also get a selection of juices, special blends, and soft drinks all perfect for cool you down from the hot Dubai sun. Located in Club Vista Mare you will be overlooking the beach and there is arguably nothing more relaxing than that. No dancers, no loud music, just you and the stunning view of the ocean.
