Yes, it is February – the month of love. Us singletons don’t particularly enjoy as much as couples, but why shouldn’t we? Instead of going out for a date night or having a romantic surprise in store, why not have your girl gang over for a night of popcorn, M&M’s and a good old school rom com! I mean, who doesn’t love a good 90’s romantic movie?

Spend Valentine’s Day with your girl crew cuddled up on the couch for a night of entertainment, and of course a bit of gossip! Check out our total favorite 90’s romantic comedies to watch this Valentine’s Day:

1. Pretty Woman

1990

Richard Geer and Julia Roberts – I mean what more is there to say! The King and Queen of 90’s romcom come together for what is one of the most popular love stories to ever hit the screen, Pretty Woman. The story of an unrequited love between a successful businessman and his very charming escort, this movie is one that just had to make the top of our list as the first must watch 90’s rom-com this Valentines Day!

2. 10 Things I Hate About You

1999

Health Ledger – ultimate teenage heart throb – and Julia Stiles – the millennium IT girl – star in one of my all time favorite 90’s movie 10 Things I Hate About You. Total high school drama, teenage angst and a side of dating gone wrong – this movie literally has everything one needs in a good teenage rom com. Bianca Stratford, highschool sweetheart, is not allowed to date until her rebellious and slightly alternative older sister Katarina starts dating – an attempt by their dad to basically not have them dating ever. Biancas crush comes up with a devious plan to have Katarina dating – and that’s when this love story unfolds….

3. She’s All That

1999

Freddie Prince Jr – I mean nothing says the 90’s like he does! He was the ultimate crush for all young girls during their teenage years. She’s All That is another high school romantic comedy that we absolutely love. The age-old story of the high school geek that gets a total makeover and transforms into a total babe. But get ready for this plot twist, it’s the high school jock that is dared to turn her into the next prom queen.

4. Never Been Kissed

1999

Hello Miss Barrymore, we knew you had to make it on this list at some point! Never Been Kissed, staring ultimate 90’s chick Drew Barrymore and David Arquette, is the story of Josie (played by Drew) who is a junior copywriter for a newspaper who wants to cover a story about teenagers. She decides to enroll herself into her old high school in order to pose as a student and get an insider look into the lives of teenagers. With a lot of high school drama that goes down, the story takes a turn when Josie actually ends up falling in love with her English teacher, and has to confess that she is in fact an undercover reporter.

5. Drive Me Crazy

1999

Melissa Joan Hart – not only known as Sabrina the Teenage Witch – and Adrian Grenier star in another 90’s high school hit, Drive Me Crazy. The story of 2 high schoolers who grew up together as neighbors, but from very different social circles, both get dumped at the same time and are looking for some good old revenge. Little did they know that their plan would work, but with an ending that they didn’t  expect.

6. Fools Rush In

1997

Matthew Perry and Salma Hayek star in this 90’s Romantic Comedy. Isabel (Salma) and Alex (Matthew) have a notorious one night stand while in Vegas and SURPRISE Isabel falls pregnant. The couple decides to get married and realize along the way that they come from 2 completely different worlds and cultures – but end up falling in love. Awwwww, this is another one to watch – that we just love!

7. Notting Hill

1999

Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts – need I say more! The King and Queen of Romance star in another one of my all-time favorite movies Notting Hill. Julia plays a totally famous movie star Anna Scott, who one days enters William Thackers (Hugh) Travel Book Shop in Notting Hill and sparks fly. The two enter a beautiful love affair and are challenged with their extremely different lifestyles – but make it work in the name of love.

8. Clueless

1995

Ok – now this movie needs absolutely no introduction. I mean surely EVERYONE on the face of this planet has watched Clueless, and if you haven’t stop everything you are doing right now and tune in. A staple in our childhood, BFF’s Cher (Alicia Silverstone), and Dionne (Stacey Dash), adopt Tai (Brittany Murphy) as their new little project.  The Highschool story of best friends, love, and a lot of drama this is probably one of THE best movies to ever come out of the 90’s.

9. Runaway Bride

1999

Julia Roberts and Richard Gere – together again for another good old Romantic Comedy. In this story, Ike Graham (played by Richard Gere) a news reporter sets out to cover a story about Maggie Carpenter (played by Julia Roberts) who notoriously leaves her Fiancés waiting for her at the alter but she never shows up, and is known as the Runaway Bride. In a series of unexpected events, Ike ends up falling her Maggie – and the story unfolds…

10. My Best Friend’s Wedding

1997

Yes, I know, Julia Roberts AGAIN, but what can I say – she literally is the Queen of Romantic comedies that came out in the 90’s. Julianne (Julia Roberts) and Michael (Dermot Mulroney) are the ultimate best friends – but when he meets and gets engaged to Kimberly (Cameron Diaz) Julianne realizes that she is in fact in love with him. Is it too late for her to tell him? Watch and find out!
