Say hello to this vintage revival! Nothing is prettier than these sweet looking, round, beaded, 60’s inspired bags. While we are all guilty of thrifting through our mother’s closet for the perfect retro handbag, this might be one you had dismissed. If you managed to miss this is mum’s closet, don’t – vintage thrift shops and Instagram accounts have picked up on the beaded bag like no other, trickling up the fashion scale to our favourite high street brands and have gone as far up as to our lux brands.
While these pretty vintage pieces clearly have their own trend history, their sudden re-popularity is a small reflection of a bigger trend. We have seen a huge rise of artisanal detailing and materials, from beaded and pearl encrusted bags, to tassels, raffia, woven parts and many, many more handcrafted details.
