Vent is back with a limited new line and we are obsessed! “Vent” created by 23-year-old Lebanese designer, Yasmina Bourgi, is all about expressing yourself. Not only do we love what the brand stands for, but we also love that is filling a void in the UAE clothing market when it comes to inclusivity and plus size clothing. Vent’s newest collection, the Faux Suede line, is a limited collection drop of 3 hoodie and sweatpants sets that come in 3 unique earthy tones. Read all about it below!

The Faux Suede Line

Not only is the Faux Suede Line an absolute to-die-for sweatsuit set, but the collection is very special to the founder and creator of Vent. Yasmina designed the collection with her father who has been in the fashion industry for years. “His input the world to me, and this collection was a collaboration between the two of us.,” she says. Not only that, but Yasmina also loves to enjoy the outdoors here during the wintertime and she designed this set to reflect that. “The UAE’s current weather had a big part in this collection. As anyone that lives here knows that we have a short time frame of being able to enjoy the outdoors. I was going to the desert a lot, and that’s something I can never do in the summer. The sandy beige, brown, and green colors I chose for this collection was paying homage to that.”

“With this collection, I knew I wanted to drop hoodies and sweatpants, but I wanted to do something different than what’s already available,” Founder, Yasmina Bourgie tells us, “The concept behind this limited collection is combining comfort and style. I designed these sets to be a little different than anything i’ve sold before. The use of this fabric was intended to make the set so comfortable and perfect for the UAE’s weather. I sampled a lot of different fabrics and colors, but when I found the faux suede, I immediately knew that it would fit my vision perfectly.”

Inclusivity with The Faux Suede Line

Working in the fashion industry, it is difficult not to abide by the set beauty standard when it comes to designing clothes. For decades, we have been taught that bodies are meant to look a particular way and that certain clothes are only made for those particular body types, but Vent challenges these standards with inclusivity kept in mind with every collection.

“We changed the pattern of this set and made it very different than the hoodies and sweatpants I have offered before,” Yasmina says in regard to inclusivity in the Faux Suede Line. “The sizes we offer remain the same. We are an all-inclusive brand that offers sizes from XS to 4XL. The sets are unisex sizes, and with anything, I design I make sure that the sizes would suit everyone.”
