Quick Asian Beef Ramen Noodles

Awesomely Easy Asian Inspired Dishes - The Modern East

If you’ve got 15 minutes to cook dinner, you’re going to be able to nosh on this heaping bowl of yum from Recipe Tin Eats. Caramelized beef sits atop of a bed of deliciously sauced ramen. This is a far cry from the version that you slurp out of a microwavable cup! If you’re new to cooking Asian style food, you may notice many recipes call for oyster sauce. If you’re not a fan of oysters, or seafood for that matter, not to worry. The sauce does not have a fishy taste or scent. If you are allergic to shellfish, there are vegetarian versions out there.

Teriyaki Shrimp Broccoli Stir Fry

Awesomely Easy Asian Inspired Dishes - The Modern East

This Asian inspired recipe, from My Food Story, is a little sweet, a little spicy, and a lot delicious. Teriyaki is one of those sauces that has such a lovely, distinctive flavor. You can use fresh or frozen shrimp for this dish. Just make sure that if you’re working with frozen, that you let the shrimp thaw in cold water that has plenty of ice in it. It’s not a long process at all. You can also always add extra veggies to your dish to stretch it if you have company. Carrots, mushrooms, snap peas, water chestnut slices, and/or bamboo shoots would make fantastic additions.

Chinese Orange Chicken

Awesomely Easy Asian Inspired Dishes - The Modern East

Oh, orange chicken. How do we love thee? That golden fried perfection of the chicken. That sweet, sticky, citrusy sauce. Cooking Classy shows you how to make this delightful Asian dish at home. While this recipe does come together quickly, keep in mind that you have to chill your coated chicken for 30 minutes prior to frying. This will help your breading stay put, instead of falling off as much, during its hot oil bath. Also, do not skip the step of cooking in batches. Over-crowding while frying can cause the temperature of your frying oil to drop significantly. That means oily food that takes much longer to cook. Ew.

Easy Chicken Ramen Soup

Awesomely Easy Asian Inspired Dishes - The Modern East

The soups from Asian style cuisine are phenomenal. This one, from Fox and Briar, only takes 30 minutes to cook. However, the flavor will make people think that it took you all day. It’s rich, comforting, and just plain delish. Though the recipe does call for fresh yakisoba noodles, you can certainly use dry, and just prepare according to the package directions.
