Best Dressed at Sole DXB 2019

Sole DXB is a three-day extravaganza, which celebrates the latest and coolest trends from street-culture and as you will see below; street-style enthusiasts  did not disappoint,

Over the years, the event included diverse activation from the fashion industry, spanning across clothing, footwear, and accessories. Sole DXB also includes headline performances from international acts, who bring the best from the hip-hop scene to the city.

There is no denying that street-wear is where fashion is at, and even high-end designer brands are in on it like Virgil Abloh’s direction of Louis Vuitton. This trend has found a home in Dubai, where sneaker-heads thrive.

Some of the key looks we loved for this year of Sole are edgy, give a nod to the 90’s and are super stylish!

Karrouhat

Let’s start with Karrouhat’s look for the Kenzo party where he wears a branded Kenzo red and white sweater with suits grey pants and chunky white sneakers. The long white socks are the cherry on top!

An easy enough look to recreate at home, and why not use your ugly holiday sweater instead and make your outfit look cool thanks to Basil’s styling.

Chndy

Next is Chndy (aka Mohamamd) who embodied “Little House on the prairie” with his beige monotone outfit. His styling tip is no other then keep it natural; add flowers to your front pockets and smile! And that’s exactly what he wore! Also, who said men can’t wear women’s purses? Mohammad rocks his JW Anderson satchel with dazzling confidence as he wears with it a beige jacket as well as a beige bucket hat! Yes, please!

Leena Al Ghouti

Let’s focus on the Rapunzel of the Middle East; Leena Al Ghouti. She wears an edgy- demure look at the Kenzo party, and we’re here for it!

Her sweater is gorgeous; a large embroidered image of waves and mountains at the front and yellow large Kenzo logo at the back.. eye-catching to me! She wears it with black pants as well as a black hijab and a pair of white chunky sneakers! That is the most important styling tip for us today; cut your monotone look with a contrasting color – just the way Leena did.

It is always nice to clash contrasting colors in an outfit like black and white, yellow and brown etc. as it makes you stand out – and who doesn’t like that?!

Parvbar

Next is Parvbar with her intricate mix of prints at the Farfetch Sole party. She wears army camouflage pants with a very vivid top that features strong colors like hot pink, neon green and vivacious blue and some sort of print of a flamingo from no other than Maison Margiela.

Recreate the look by putting together prints that do not necessarily go together; keep in mind the color palette and don’t be afraid to be bold.
