We all love a good deal, right? But are we sure a good deal is a good deal when we see it? Well, I recently came across an amazing promo 25% off on a product which is never discounted. For some reason, my gut feeling told me to google the product and compare prices. This is when I realised that the promo was not a good deal at all and that the initial price had been inflated by 20% before applying the promo. I learnt my lesson and this year, for the biggest online shopping holiday of the year I will be ready. Here are some tips to make the most of Black Friday shopping this year.
Know what you want? Google it like never would be my first tip. Find out where the product is sold so you are more efficient on the day…Especially if the product is likely to sell out fast once discounted. The great thing about visiting websites beforehand is that you are highly likely to be targeted with ads when the promos are on, so even if you forget, the various websites will probably remind you.
Write down prices of these items you dream of to make sure the promos aren’t based on a price that changes because finding out you have been duped takes away all the fun of a good bargain.
Do you know how fast it is to check out once you have all your favourite items already in your basket? Really, it’s worth it, don’t underestimate the power of the wish list.
This is not fun, but it is easy to get carried away during Black Friday. Setting your budget is the best way to prioritize and actually also indulge on maybe non discounted items if you see you still in the green.
Usually, the best deals come on Cyber Monday. If the shoe of you dream is likely to still be available by Cyber Monday, assess the situation and see if you can wait for Cyber.
