Go White on White!

We all know the struggle of wearing a new crisp white shirt to work only to stain it with coffee a few minutes after sitting at our desk; now imagine you are wearing a full white on white outfit, how will you manage? and most importantly how did you pull off your white look?

Let’s start with your outfit; nothing is harder than matching white tones together or trying to put together a white suit from different brands as we all envision the same tone of white from head to toe (yes even the heels).

If you are going for a” Tom Ford white suit” then shop all the separates from the same brand as each store usually dyes with their shade of white or better, have one made to your size as suits need to be very well fitted especially when they are in such a light shade. Make sure you pick a thick fabric that is non-see through as the worst thing when wearing white is figuring out the undergarments to hide our underwear.

Another way of pulling off white is to introduce some light shades with the outfit like some beige, grey and brown in the shape of a belt, bag, sweater, jacket or shoes to break the mono-tonality.

Now if you need to mix tones of white, make sure they are not too far apart on the color spectrum and play with fabrics, put cotton next to wool, or sheer with jeans as the mixing of fabrics will attenuate the color difference and make it look cool.

You can also play with the shapes of the spirited to make the white-look work; put tight pants with loose shirts,  boyfriend shorts with body-hugging tops… you get the drill.
