Homegrown : WanderKabinet

If you’re an avid wanderer on Instagram then you definitely saw plenty of tags and posts from one of the most interesting concepts of 2018; WanderKabinet.

WanderKabinet is a sharp and contemporary fashion concept that thrives on a poetic and highly theatrical image and is inspired by the mystical and mysterious universe associated with earlier cabinets of curiosities.

The fashion platform and every piece presented there is carefully curated by co-owners and fashion experts Sevine Samadi and Alia Al Sadek.

Both women wanted to introduce the Middle East to a new alternative fashionscape that involved pop-ups in raw and industrial places that last for 5 days, but don’t be fooled, raw and industrial also includes premium treatment, a gorgeous set up, brilliant flower installations and extra services like having a tailor on site to adjust your piece on the spot.

The first edition happened in October in Beirut and involved sourcing unique fashion finds and emerging labels from Tbilisi in Georgia.

Alia and Sevine introduced Materiel Tiblisi, Lado Bokuchava, Monica Sordobk, Aleksandre Akhalkatsishvili and many more to a market that longs for originality, exclusivity, and creativity.

While some who wander might be lost, others wander because they’ve found; and we sure hope that the next edition on the WanderKabinet finds its way to Dubai.
