The Modern East wants to flaunt our current fine jewelry fave, Five2. Five2 tells the story of two lifelong friends from Dubai who have two things in common – a passion for fine jewelry and the same ring size! As young girls the founders Ayesha and Shahrazad were first introduced to jewelry by their glamorous mothers and grandmothers. Growing up there is nothing they loved more than to play dress up and try on the intricate and bespoke jewelry pieces the women of their family possessed, which had been passed down through generations.
With a mutual love and appreciation for jewelry as well as an understanding of timeless pieces, the vision of Five2 came to life. Handmade in Dubai, Five 2 is a unique yet versatile line of delicate 18k gold rings, earring, bracelets, necklaces and anklets – all encrusted with precious and semi-precious stones.
Their debut collection, ‘The Cosmic Way’, is inspired by astronomy and the wave of astronomical observations made tangible. Patterns gathered from the swooping vastness of the universe that glitters at the night and infinity that plunges into droplets of moonshine and stardust resting in our hands draws inspiration in creating the collection.
