When we think fitness, we think outdoor, leaving all the tech behind, getting off our phones and enjoying the landscape…It could sound a bit contradictory to associate fitness and tech but, after all, tech is here to help us automate and improve every aspect of our lives. Next time you need extra motivation, skip the “let’s buy a new cute workout outfit” and try the “let’s buy some cool fitness tech”! Here are a few ideas of what you could get your hands on:
A Fitbit, a fitness ring, a smartwatch. Take your pick. The list of activities we can track on those wearables keeps getting longer: steps, calories burnt, distance walked, active minutes, sleep time/quality, heart rate, pace. Choose your device based on what you want to track and set yourself a goal to improve for extra motivation. Doesn’t also hurt that you can share your results with friends on social media for extra recognition!

Do you often “forget” to hydrate? Do you want to know how much water you need to drink? This is what a smart bottle will do for you. Based on height, weight and gender, smart water bottles track your water intake throughout the day and alert you when you need to drink more.

Did you know that there is a whole new category of products out there called “running headphones”? Yes, earphones or headphones that don’t fall off the minute you start running. Treat yourself!
Maybe what you need is a change of scenery in your workout. Why not try running when the sun is out? Get yourself some shoe lights, you attach them to your favorite pair of running shoes and you are good to go!
