If you’ve been spending most of your time obsessively scrolling through social media like the rest of us, then you might’ve noticed the latest hype. Everyone’s been obsessed with this new app “Google Art & Culture” that takes your selfies and finds paintings of people that look just like you!

If you’ve been sitting there, lost and confused about how to join in on the fun, look no further! We’re breaking it down for you right here!

Step 1: Go on your App Store.

 This one’s pretty simple. Get on your app store, search for the Google Arts & Culture app, and tap on “Get”.

Step 2: Scroll past all the other stuff, that’s not what we’re after.

You’ll see a bunch of other features and gadgets, until you get to something that says “Art Selfie: Take a selfie and discover portraits from international museums”. This is where you want to be.

Tap “GET STARTED”.

Step 3: Take a selfie.

 Here’s the catch: unfortunately, you can’t just upload your best-ever photo.  You’re fully expected to take a selfie right there on the spot, and accept your fate, no matter how unpleasing – and let me tell you, not all paintings of women are as beautiful as you’d assume.

Luckily for you though, we have a cheat of great deception. If you have a photo you like better, whip out your photo of choice from another phone or printed photo, and click!

Maybe your results won’t be as horrifying as this girls’!

This app really is a true favorite of ours, and not only for this feature. Through this app, you can take virtual tours of famous museums, set up virtual artworks in your home, and even explore space.
