Cruelty Free Beauty

Isn’t this absolutely mental that we have to still call out the brands that don’t test on animals? It’s super sad and it makes me upset and angry all at the same time. You’d think with all the advancement of technology and the number of years beauty companies have under their belt they could find a way to get by without hurting other life forms but alas not.

So here’s why we should celebrate the brands who are proudly shaking up the industry in the hopes it will put more pressure on the rest to do the same! Some of these brands even go as far as running initiatives to benefit shelters, animal rights groups, conservation and preservation with their products sold. So now you can look beautiful and feel good by supporting the white hats of the beauty industry and make a small but meaningful change to your daily routine.

Beauty Blender

I’m so happy to share that Beauty Blender are proudly cruelty free so you can rest assured that next time you pick up your next colorful spongey egg you are not hurting any cute animals in the process!

Kat Von D

Now Miss Kat Von D has been an animal rights activist for a very long time, in fact her Insta bio reads Vegan AF. If you have a little nosey you might even come to see how much she loves her weird little naked cats and then you’ll understand why she takes such a firm stance on animal cruelty. I know her brand can be a little intimidating but her products are beautiful, crazy pigmented and long lasting, so it’s a win-win.

Hourglass

We can all rejoice because Hourglass has FINALLY landed here and we can rejoice for a second time because they are cruelty free! YAAAY. Also, half of their products have been reformulated to be compliant to vegan standards with a commitment by 2020 to be completely vegan. I can’t wait to write next month about all their must have products!

Tarte

This one I’m sure doesn’t come as a huge surprise either but Tarte is another winner when it comes to being cruelty free. For my vegan pals out there, their website is super helpful in filtering which products are for you so you can have some peace of mind when shopping the brand. I’m already a huge fan of their Amazonian Clay Foundation and now I’m an even bigger fan of their ethos.

Too Faced

And finally, we couldn’t finish the list without some Too Faced love. Jerrod and Jeremy love animals waaay too much to see any furry friends get hurt so they are totally cruelty free. Their brushes are made with only the softest teddy bear hair. CA-UTE! They also have a super handy list on their website of all the products (and there’s lots) which are vegan friendly.
