Must-Try DIY Hand Cream Recipe

Using a hand cream is the best way to repair and restore damaged hands, ensuring that they not only look younger but feel softer too! The skin on top of your hands is much thinner and has less sebaceous glands, meaning it can become dry very quickly. Unfortunately, store-bought hand creams are very overpriced nowadays. If you’re into DIY we’ve got just what you need – this hand cream recipe is a must-try!

How it’s Made

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons shea butter
  • 2 teaspoons aloe vera gel
  • 2 teaspoons grapeseed oil
  • 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
  • 2 teaspoons arrowroot powder

It is always best to use organic ingredients if possible!

A Little About Essential Oils

You can add essential oils to make it smell nice! If you’re going to be using this lotion while you’re out under the sun, we recommend you don’t use any of the citrus essential oils as they may have a burning effect on the skin.

Our Fave Combinations:

  • Vanilla and Lavender
  • Vanilla and Pink Grapefruit
  • Rose Otto and Vanilla
  • Roman Chamomile
  • Lavender
  • Sweet Orange

The Final Product

Voila! You should be good to go and with a new favorite cream for your hands in arm’s reach. To store, you can keep it in any glass container at home, but you can also purchase easy to slip into your purse containers that are perfect to carry around with you any and everywhere you go!
