#SundayFunday: 4 Household Objects to Transform

Do you feel like you’ve become unproductive during this time at home? Why not try some DIY projects! I’m sure we all have a couple of things just laying around the house that we either have absolutely no idea what to do with or, we simply just don’t like! We’ve compiled a list of basic household items that you can transform and give an entirely new look or meaning to. Keep reading for some DIY inspo!

Table Lamp

Do you have a basic lamp just sitting around? Spice it up with some new colors and fabrics for a pop of fun in the room. Simple wrap the shade with a print of your choice – whether it be animal, bohemian, or solid colors – then, grab a can of spray paint and add some color to the base of it. Voila! A fun new lamp you can show off in your living room.

Cushion Covers

Solid prints can get a little boring, why not add some spunk to your cushion cover with a little fabric paint? Not only is this a great way to add some fun to a basic household object, but it’s also a cool project you can spend some time on with your family! Grab any old cushion cover and your favorite colors in fabric paint and get to crafting.

Wall Clock

If we’re going to watch time tick by, we might as well have a cute wall clock, right? Take your clock of that wall and get to crafting! Remove the clock hands and place them on some old newspapers or a surface you don’t mind getting dirty and spray paint them a color of your choice. While those are drying, get to painting the face, but make sure they’re a different color from the hands or you won’t know what time it is!

Fuzzy Seat

If you’re in the mood for a cool project, this one is for you! grab any old wooden bench or stool laying around and hot glue some foam fabric to the surface of it. Once the glue has dried, take some fuzzy fabric and wrap it around the surface, stapling the edges underneath the base. This is definitely a statement household piece!
