But when I end up setting up my laptop and charger every day on my empty dining table, boring is an understatement. Where are my cute work pictures, family photos, quotes, my organized mess and useless papers I printed and never looked at after that? 1. A dedicated space

Finding a dedicated corner where you can leave your work laptop, phone(s), chargers, notebooks, pens, etc. is a must-have. Constantly moving your equipment every day will eventually end up in you running around your house looking for that one element that you misplaced or that someone else in your house decided to move.

2. A table

It sounds really basic, but there are some great alternatives to a full-fledged big desk that takes a lot of space. Look at the below picture for instance. This installation can go back to being a shelf whenever you are not working from your house.

3. A chair

If you have a desk chair, fantastic as this is great for your posture. Alternatively, think about exercise balls. They improve your balance and work your core.

4. Décor

It will make a difference. Find a board on which you can pin priorities, but also a space to add photos, quotes, or a bit of plants for oxygen and colors. Last but not least to add your personal touch: a familiar mug and a pretty water bottle.
