Photo Inspirations for Your Room

Who doesn’t looooove putting photos on their wall? After a while though, you’d be lying if you didn’t admit that, sometimes, we have a tendency to get boring with how we treat our most treasured memories. Gone are the days of just having a bedside frame or a dull old wooden frame in the wall. If you want to bring your memories back to life and inject some personality into your room, here’s some inspiration for what to do with your photos:

Split Canvas

Do you have one photo that beats the rest? The most special memory? Or perhaps one that just looks cooler than everything else? Give it pride of place in your room with a large split canvas installation. Never mind ditching the frame, a ditch having your photo restricted to one canvas; give it three, or even five! Split canvases are easy to have made, and many photo printing companies will be able to print any of your shots into the format on the same day (although for the best deals it may be better to shop around online).

Hanging Frames

If you’ve been alive for the past decade, then you know that hanging polaroid photos from strings definitely seems to be in. However, with every second person seeming to do this, you’ll have to take the idea a step further to show off any creativity. Instead of polaroids, hang full-sized prints from (much thicker) string and make wherever you decide to hang these from the centerpiece of your creative, artsy room! Be warned, though, for best results you’ll have to take a more DIY approach than the split canvas idea above.

Lighting

It’s no secret that lighting is the key to every aspect of design in a room. Your photo displays are no different and you can use light to make even the most tired frame displays pop. Whether you go for a spotlight feel or fairy lights is up to you, you can use lighting to accentuate your favorite photos – framed or not – and achieve your desired vibe.
