Quick & Easy Bites For Guests

Entertaining is not easy, and entertaining on a weeknight is even harder! Racing out of work to get to the grocery store and then hurrying home to pick up the clothes off the floor and give the bathroom a once-over can make a casual get-together a stressful affair. But I can’t help it, I love having my friends over all the time! These are a few of my go to recipes for small bites. They are super easy bites to make but still look super fancy to your guests.

For your cheese loving guests:

Fig Jam & Goat Cheese Crostini

Easy to prepare, you could also substitute the jam to small pieces of actual fig.

Caprese Skewers

This one is a fan favourite, and so easy to prep.

For your seafood loving guests:

Smoked Salmon Bites

I find this to be a very simple recipe. It only requires 5 ingredients, and you probably have most of them at home already. You can replace the bread with Ritz crackers, blinis or even cucumbers for a healthier option.

Avocado and crab lettuce cups

It might sound a bit more complicated but it isn’t once you get over the part of buying all the ingredients. Tip: for a lighter option, I replace the mayo with yoghurt.

The Ultimate Crowd Pleaser:

 Warm olives

This is too easy to even call it a recipe: your guests will fall in love. Make this recipe in less than 10’, using less than 6 ingredients (I omit the fennel and cumin seeds).

Of course, presentation is key when you have guests over! Make sure to check out Dragon Mart’s kitchen ‘department’ for cute dishes and boards. I don’t know about you, but this made me super hungry and I can’t wait until my next gathering! ☺
