How to: A Zen Vibe at Home

Staying at home for days on end can really get to you. So, why not make your home a safe and serene place? This may seem like a difficult task, but we’re here to prove that doing small things can make a huge difference. Don’t worry, we aren’t talking about a massive deep cleaning, but little things to help you feel zen.

Decluttering

We promised, no deep cleaning! But how can you possibly begin to feel at ease with all that clutter laying around? Pick up and throw away all those little bits of paper and plastic wrappers of things you opened a long, long time ago and we promise it will make you feel better. Make sure you can see the surface of your shelves and desks!

Candles

Candles – amazing how a single flame can both defy and define darkness! From finding peace in that slim glisten of light, to smelling its peaceful aroma, candles are a great way to make your home feel more Zen. Fill up a bubble bath, turn on some chill music, light some candles, and just relax.

Lavender

Did you know that the relaxing experience of lavender fragrance led to its deliberate, therapeutic use in aromatherapy to relieve mild anxiety? Lavender has also been used internally for mood imbalances, insomnia, and, of course, that breath of refreshing scent that we all need sometimes!

 Tea Tree Oil

This all-natural remedy has been used for reducing stress for years! Tea tree oil comes from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a small tree native to Queensland and New South Wales, Australia. Not only does it induce calmness, but it’s also great for your skin, hair, and even to clean with.
