If the intense summer heat has you pretty much perpetually daydreaming of taking a dip in a sublimely cool pool, you need to keep reading. Yes, we do have some supremely gorgeous pools that are totally home grown where we can get our swim on. However, there are some truly epic pools that we would love to do a few laps at found beyond our borders. If you’re looking for some incredible pools that might just be bucket list-worthy, check out some of the best resort pools the world has to offer.
Ever been to a pool so large that you could literally go sailing on it? At one point, this gorgeous pool was the largest in the world. It is more than 900 meters long, and is situated right up against the beach. This pool is filled with filtered and treated saltwater and offers swimmers a bevy of water-related activities. You really can sail a boat on this pool, as well as scuba dive in it, and go kayaking. This thing is just so insanely huge that it’s staggering to behold. The water is also temperature-controlled to keep it a comfortable 26 degrees Celsius all year round.

As if Bali wasn’t gorgeous enough, they have to go ahead and have one of the most incredible pools on the face of the Earth. The pool here is actually plural. Twin infinity freshwater pools combine to give you a slightly different experience in each. But, both are swoon-worthy. From the top pool, you are treated to a tree-top view of the vast and verdant jungle sprawling out before you. From the lower pool, seat yourself in one of the partially submerged chairs and enjoy similar jungle views. This one really defies all attempts at trying to adequately describe the pure splendor. Just take a look.

This one is for all you lovely ladies out there who are just a complete sucker for a city skyline. Located on the 57th floor of the resort, this pool boasts some jaw-dropping views of the city. It’s a large pool too, at over 152 meters in length. Being an infinity pool, if you are brave enough, you can even swim right to the edge and look below from this rooftop swimming perch. As you can imagine, this one really is something to see at night.
So far we’ve seen some gorgeous resort pools with stunning backdrops. We’ve seen pools by the beach, resort pools overlooking the city, and resort pools in the depths of the jungle. For this one, we take you to the mountains of Switzerland. Offering outstanding views of the breathtaking Swiss Alps, this amazing pool is heated year-round to a comfortable 32 degrees Celsius. So, if you’re visiting at a time of year when those gorgeous mountains are sporting a lot of snow, don’t think you’re going to freeze your tail off taking a dip. However, if things do turn a bit nippy, you can swim right into the indoor portion of the pool via a door. But really, with a view like this, it won’t likely be the cold giving you goosebumps.
