Banana and Honey for Oily Hair

Mmm! Not only is this mix a deliciously healthy snack, but it’s also great for oily hair! The oil in your hair is actually called sebum and it’s a natural oil constantly produced by your sebaceous glands on your scalp. Though it is produced to keep your hair nourished, it can make your hair look greasy in between washes. With Banana and honey, you can control the sebum produced by your hair by slightly blocking the glands, but still keeping your hair nourished with these natural ingredients.

How to:

  • Blend one ripe banana to a thick consistency
  • Mix with two tablespoons of honey
  • Apply the paste to your hair while massaging it at the roots
  • Leave it in for 20 minutes
  • Rinse with warm water 

Protein Hair Mask for Dry Hair

 

If you color your hair often or use heat to style your hair on a daily basis, you should be using this DIY protein hair masks. The mixture includes strawberries which include antioxidants that add moisture and shine, egg York which contains protein to strengthen the strands, and olive oil.   • One cup of mashed strawberries
  • One egg Yolk
  • Three Tbsp. of olive oil
  • Mix all together and apply to your hair
  • Leave in for 20-30 Minutes

  • Add half a cup of yogurt to a bowl
