Since Fenty Beauty launched in 2017 I have been obsessed. No really! It was revolutionary for the makeup industry. 40 shades of foundation to choose from was unheard of and to this day other makeup brands are struggling to keep up. Through the years I have tried, tested, loved, and loved a little less many of their products so if you are looking to take a dip into the wonderful world of Fenty this is your guide!
This foundation is so great and fulfills all its claims. Soft matte? Check! Buildable coverage? Check! Resistant to sweat and humidity? Check check check! And it really does last all day! I took this foundation with me on vacation and did not have to touch up once, and if you’re like me and prefer a dewier finish don’t fear because even though this foundation is a soft matte it comes off natural-looking and glowy AF.
I am not the first person to rave about this gloss and I will not be the last, but let me tell you. It is so moisturizing and shimmery and makes your lips look fuller than ever, so if you’re looking for that coveted your lips but better look then this gloss is for you. Pair it with your favorite lipstick or even on its own and you are good to go!
Whats a review without a little controversy? This product has been a hit and a miss for many people but it is personally my go-to bronzer and here is why: for one it is matte which is hard to find, it gives me the perfect level of warmth, and you can choose from 8 shades so you are not stuck with a one shade fits all leaving you looking either too ashy or too muddy. Pair this bronzer with Fenty’s CHEEK-HUGGING BRONZER BRUSH 190 for the perfect application!
Unfortunately, my favorite foundation’s little sister does not compare. It claims to be long-wearing, buildable with a natural, your skin but better finish but all it does it make my skin feel sticky and patchy. PASS! You are better off going for the soft matte and setting with a dewy setting spray than getting this foundation.
Let me preface this by saying I do not hate this product but it is a bit too dry for my liking. You have to warm it up on your hand before applying which makes it time-consuming and totally defeats the purpose on a quick on the go product. For me, the highlight Match Stix are too glittery and even though they are marketed as multipurpose I find it hard to use them as anything other than a highlighter, and even then, I’ve used better!
This product is here strictly because of the hefty 85 Dhs price tag. We all love having smooth lips but Fenty girl, really? Instead of splurging on this glorified lip scrub try mixing an oil of your choice ( coconut is great for this!) with sugar and scrub away! Voila! Kissable lips at no extra cost.
