#SelfCareSaturday: The Ultimate At-Home Spa

Self-Care should be on your list of priorities! If it still isn’t – what better way to relax on the last day of the week than creating the ultimate at-home spa from the comfort of your own bedroom? From mani-pedis to soaking in a tub with the foamiest bubbles, lit candles, and your favorite book, playlist, or podcast – keep reading to find out just how it’s done!

Set the Bath

For the first step of this at-home spa, you definitely want to soak in a nice warm tub to wash off all your work-hard sweat and stress away from your long week of work. fill your tub up with some warm water, throw in your favorite bath salts and the foamiest bubbles you can find – you know, the ones that make you feel like you’re lying on a cloud – light some of your favorite scented candles and place them around your bathroom and wait till it’s all set up!

Entertainment

While you’re waiting for your tub to fill up, go ahead and grab your headphones so that you can have some entertainment while you relax in the bath. Whether you prefer to listen to your favorite playlist, an audiobook, or a podcast – you’ll definitely need some entertainment to get your mind off of things and become fully relaxed and have that peace of mind that you deserve! By now, your tub should be all filled up and you’re set to go.

Skin Care Routine

Once you’re feeling all fresh and clean after soaking in the bath, get to your skincare routine! Remember, that you have to apply your products on in the right order or they may not have the right effect. Start off by cleansing your face to clean out your pores that have already been opened up from your warm bath, then, get to toning. After that has set, get your eye cream on, and focus on your treatments, serums, and peels. Last but not least, lather on your face moisturizer or night cream and you’re good to go.

Mani-Pedi’s

Now that you’ve finished your skincare routine, start on your mani-pedis to get those nails freshly painted for your weekend! Clean your nails with nail polish remover before you clip, file, and buff them. Once you’ve done that to both your finger and toenails, push back your cuticles and exfoliate to get your hands and feet feeling soft and smooth – don’t forget to moisturize after! Once that’s done – get to painting! Apply your base coat on both you’re your hands and feet before applying your favorite shade of polish so that it doesn’t damage your nails – and of course, a top coat to finish it off.
