Scavenger Hunt Challenge!

In recent years, going on a scavenger hunt has become popular with many companies as a team building exercise. Then there’s also The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt, which was conceived of and helmed by Misha Collins of the TV show Supernatural fame. It’s pretty epic, check out the website here.  If you’re looking for a fun way to explore your surroundings or an alternative to your usual hang out plans, grab some of your best pals and try one out.

Here are some basic ideas to get you started, add riddles, time limits, and other photo ideas and get out there!

تحدي البحث عن الأشياء والتقاط الصور - The Modern East

The Girl’s Night Out Hunt

Have your team try to get as many of these style photos or videos as possible: drinking out of the same drink (with separate straws), sitting with an unknown family at a restaurant, singing at a karaoke bar, standing under a public clock at a specific time (17:54 for example), reciting a love poem to a stranger, find a tiny place and have everyone cram inside, posing like a mannequin in front of an upscale window display, posing with a statue, reflection in something other than a mirror, sitting on a spiral staircase. If you want to collect items as well, try for small things that can easily fit in a purse, like a copy of a menu, a matchbook or pen with the club/restaurant’s name on it, a ticket stub from public transit, 3 little drink umbrellas, etc.

Suggested Prize: A gift card to a favourite restaurant

Out of This World

This scavenger hunt idea is a bit more straight forward and can be completed alone or in teams. Basically, have your friends take pictures of anything space, alien, or  sci-fi related. You can get specific if you wish (Take a picture with a Star Wars character cut out. Take a picture with a planet or stars in it, etc). But, sometimes it’s fun to see what people will come up with and discover on their own when you give them a basic subject. Things will start jumping out at you that you never noticed before!

Suggested Prize:Star stickers for ceilings/walls

You could even challenge people to build things out of sand beyond castles like turtles, sharks, mermaids, etc. Have someone take pictures of you buried in the sand.
