In recent years our gorgeous Arab fashion models and influencers have been taking the international beauty and fashion scene by storm (YAAS LADIES –  it’s about time). Changing beauty standards, inspiring millions of Arab women, and reshaping the industry with a much-needed breath of fresh desert air. 

So we’ve put together a list of 10 Instagram accounts to keep an eye on – belonging to some of the rising stars representing the Arab world in the Middle East and beyond!

1) Rania Benchegra

Moroccan-born Rania Benchegra started her modeling career by chance when she was scouted while shopping in a mall in Marrakesh. Since this  fluke incident, she has featured in campaigns for giants such as H&M, Victoria’s Secret and Anastasia Beverly Hills. 2) Karen Wazen Bakhazi

Who says mothers can’t be models?! Cover girl for Elle Magazine, this Lebanese Dubai-based model balances her mama roles with a fast-paced jetsetter lifestyle. Following her fashion blog Karen’s Choice, she’s established herself as a who’s who in the Arab fashion scene. Her Instagram is a combination of her adorable kids and her daring, stylish looks.

3) Imaan Hamman

Vogue cover girl Imaan Hammam, of Egyptian and Moroccan parents, has been modeling for a whopping 7 years (mind you, she’s only 20!). She has already graced the catwalks of Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, and Versace – and we are sure she will continue to catch the eyes of designers for many years to come. 4) Ascia Al Faraj

At just 18 years old, British-Moroccan model Nora Attal already has an impressive track record. She has walked the runways of the biggest names in fashion, proving that success can come at any age. 6) Hanaa Ben Abdesslem

A spokesperson for Lancome, this Tunisian has crossed many frontiers in the fashion world. She was the first Arab model to feature in the racy Pirelli Calendar and has, of course, walked for impressive designers (think Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Jean Paul Gaultier – caj, no biggie). She’s deeply connected to her Arab origins, which shows through in her Instagram. Her classic look is one we could all learn (or steal) a little something from.
