Milan Fashion Week Roundup

Fashion week is the opportunity to see the best and worst dressed influencers and editors and buyers on the street of some of the greatest cities. After Paris Fashion Week, today, The Modern East brings you Milan street style done by some of our favorite local bloggers for the women’s ready to wear collections.

Milan Fashion Week boasted some of the most famous names like Bottega Veneta with the new creative directors Daniel Lee’s very anticipated collection and the return of Gucci to the city after a previous show in Paris. There were also the successful shows of Prada, Armani, Alberta Ferretti, Fendi and of course Versace.

During that crazy week, the streets turned into a catwalk with eye-catching accessories, elevated style, and vintage finds and we have rounded up some of our finest looks from influencers from our region.

Dana Hourani

Let’s start with Dana Hourani’s on-point outfit for the Fendi show. It might look like a jumpsuit, but it’s actually a pant and blazer suit in grey that is held together with a dark green utility belt that holds red leather gloves (how fancy), a green leather phone case (we love it), sunglasses and a leather pochette to put your money in.

The look does not end there, it has a leather green scarf around the neck to give it a total utilitarian look and we are all here for that.

Another one on our list from Dana’s Milan Fashion Week outfits is her look for Alberta Ferretti, the total effect is black and white, and the details are again fantastic. She is wearing a checkered black and white blazer that puffs up on the hips to elevate the look and she pairs it up with thigh-high snakeskin boots in black that elongate her legs. It’s a look that we will copy at home for sure.

Nour Arida

Next on our list is Nour Arida, who rocked a regular blue workwear shirt in a way that we all need to recreate every single day!

Nour wrapped the 2 ends of the shirt around her waist, making it high waisted and giving it a twisted look. She pairs it up with plenty of jewelry around the collar.

Another favourite is her beige linen suit that she wears with a buttoned blazer and nothing under for extra oomph, (we would definitely add a white tank top to avoid dramatic accidents) she adds a simple belt and a pair of black cowboy boots on top of the pants, giving it an ethereal effect of mixing everyday pieces with personal style to make them unique.

Jessica Kahawaty

Jessica Kahawaty makes us dream of a western inspired look with her tribal jacket, fringed pants, and transparent bag. The look is so simple yet exquisite as the jacket is so intricate and detailed with colors that remind you of spring.

Lana El Sahely

Last but not least is the queen of style; Lana El Sahely who looks like she just stepped off the Versace runway with her Versace top at Milan Fashion Week.

She wears the colorful and printed long sleeved top on a pair of skinny black pants and black stilettos, a simple look that allows for the key piece (the top) to take all glory.
