5 DXB Home Bakers We Love

There’s a wave of amazing bakers taking over Dubai (and the world to be honest). They’re celebrating the art of cake, unique flavours, and even your allergies!

Sure, you can always buy a cake from your local bakery. But I don’t think you’ll still want to after you see what these home bakers are putting out. Here we go:

1) Nadia from @melangedubai

I’ll be honest, Nadia is not one of your average home bakers. She went through professional training at Le Cordon Bleu and has industry experience. But today, she prefers to bake to her own rhythm from home (yay for us). Nadia’s meticulous nature means that her flavours are always on point, with favs like raspberry + lemon curd and peanut butter s’mores. Her signature drip cakes with abundant toppings would take any occasion to the next level.

2) Yasmine from @petites_choses

Yasmine’s cakes are always tastefully designed and stamped with her signature strokes of buttercream magic. You can tell just by looking at her masterpieces that she has an eye for colour and form – which probably comes from her Graphic Design background. She’s also equally passionate about the inside of the cake and is always experimenting with new flavours and fillings.

3) Rasha from @rasharmeily

Whimsical and downright flawless! Rasha is a master cake designer and sugar artist who creates the most perfectly precious treats. You can see the love in every detail of her work. From themed kiddie birthday goodies to elegant wedding cakes, Rasha does it all with real finesse and taste.

4) Majed from @thecinnaman

If you’re looking for a new spin on Middle Eastern desserts, Majed is your guy. He creates the most stunning and delicious baked goodies with a local twist. I mean, who wouldn’t want a slice of Pomegranate Orange Blossom Semolina Cake? Majed’s creations are all the things that good baking should be: warm, rustic and generous.

5) Eliane from @ellystreats

And finally, the girl who’s got all your food allergies covered! Eliane bakes up the most delicious Gluten Free, Vegan and allergy-friendly treats in the form of cakes and doughnuts (available at @sunnyvilleuae). I must admit, I myself am gluten- and dairy-intolerant but usually eat it anyway in fear of terrible tasting alternatives. But Eliane is changing the game! Her goodies are just as satisfying with top flavours like choco-banana, pumpkin and coconut- vanilla – which are all equally beautiful to look at.
