The Most Variety of Desserts on Display

For our first world record in desserts, we have to start off by honoring none other than our home – the UAE! The most varieties of desserts on display is 2586 and was achieved by World of Food Abu Dhabi, Emirates Culinary Guild, and Madinat Jumeirah Conference and Incentives in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on the 7^th December 2019. Fun Fact: the display had to be presented and consumed within 3 hours!

The World’s Most Expensive Dessert

The most expensive dessert is The Frrrozen Haute Chocolate ice cream sundae costing $25,000, which was added to the menu of the Serendipity 3 restaurant, New York, USA on the 7^th of November 2007. The dessert uses a fine blend of 28 cocoas, including 14 of the world’s most expensive. The sundae was made in partnership with luxury jeweler Euphoria New York and is decorated with 5 g of edible 23-karat gold, served in a goblet lined with edible gold. The base of the goblet is an 18-karat gold bracelet with 1 carat of white diamonds and the dessert is eaten with a gold spoon that is decorated with white and chocolate-colored diamonds itself!

The World’s Largest Cupcake Tower

The world record for the tallest tower of cupcakes has been set in Chennai, India. Consisting of a staggering 18,818 cupcakes! The huge structure towered above the onlooking crowd at 12.69m. The record was attempted by Preethi Kitchen Appliances and Food Consulate Chennai to celebrate Preethi Kitchen Appliances’ 40th anniversary. They also wanted the attempt to coincide with India’s New Year celebrations.
