No matter how hard we try, we are always so easily tempted into saying YES when it comes to desserts. For some reason, Suhoor always allows me to give into my sweet tooth somewhat guilt free – no complaints here! After fasting all day, everybody needs a sweet pick me up to follow Iftar and feed into that late night craving we have for something sweet.

What I love most about this time of year is that all of our home-grown and diners are getting creative with their desserts and coming up with a menu that is almost impossible to say no to! To help make your decision a little easier The Modern East has put together our top 2 hotspots serving you with the most perfect sweets for Suhoor.

PISTACHOUX

PISTACHOUX is a home grown Dubai based bakery, where every pastry is made fresh from scratch to pre-odder. Serving a variety of cakes, macaroons and cookies, they are infamous for plates such as The Lotus Cheesecake, The Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich and none other than their cookie sets. If trying out PISTACHOUX for the first time, we could strongly suggest this option! Their classics are the Nutella Sea Salt cookies (to die for!!), Lotus Stuffed Cinnamon cookies, Chocolate Peanut Butter cookies, with two new additions, Valrhona dark chocolate chunk cookies with sea salt and chocolate chip walnut cookies which have recently been added to their menu.

Dubai’s newly opened PUBLIC hit the town making some major noise very shortly becoming the towns new go to pizzeria. While they used to be known for serving us hot out the oven pizza, with a side of fresh beats, having our favorite local DJ’s spinning live every Wednesday, they have now upped their game making their notorious tiramisu available to pre order during Ramadan! This is making us salivate, MAJOR!
