Fashionable Ceramic Pieces to Decorate your Home

Instagram has been the gateway for trends to reach us in no time, the application has seen trends rise and pieces get sold out over night thanks to its algorithm and the influencers that have supported them.

And while it was mainly focused on fashion with “outfit of the day” looks it is also the best way to recognize home décor trends and the pieces to focus on, and the past few months, it is clear that the way to go is ceramics, with scandi-shapes or nude feminine forms.

Plenty of artists have found fame overnight thanks to the posts of their designs by others and to be honest as trends come and go, ceramic never seems to go out of style.

This classic material used to be all over our home; in the kitchen bedroom, living room and in practical or decorative forms but now it is in the center as the ultimate home accessory.

Let’s take a look at the most famous artist to emerge from this trend; Anissa Kermiche.

Anissa Kermiche, an engineer by training is above all driven by a passion for the fine arts. She launched her eponymous jewelry brand in 2016 and started adding sculptural and contemporary pieces full of allure of her Parisian background.

The pieces are designed for women who have an innate sense of style like her signature Popotin ceramic vase; a personal expression and celebration of femininity.

Made of ceramic with a textured finish, it outlines the silhouette of a female body and can be used as a vase for flowers with short stems.

There is also the Breast friend Ceramic vase that highlights the designer’s fascination with the female body. Made of ceramic with a mat effect it takes the form of a bust with the breast uncovered.

Another artist we love is Raawii; they create design with attitude, versatile and always impactful.

Raawii was founded in Copenhagen by Bo Raahauge and Nicholai Wiig Hansen who both share a deep passion for creating and seeing they creations take root and grow.

We love their Strom line, inspired by the early 20th century Cubism, the pieces ensure refined simplicity in the geometrical shapes and mat colors that have been translated into functional everyday objects.
