Snow in the desert sounded like a dream up until 2005 when Ski Dubai, an indoor ski resort with 22,500 square meters of indoor ski area and a snow park, opened in the Mall of the Emirates. Now, Abu Dhabi is set to outdo the legendary Ski Dubai with its very own enchanted-themed snow park that is said to be the largest in the world. All the Deets

Construction is well underway at its location inside the USD1.2billon Reem Mall project, on Reem Island which is set to open around the same time. The attraction will span across a huge 125,000 sq. ft area, divided into distinct whimsical zones.  It doesn’t matter if the weather outside is frightful. The park will be kept at a rosy-nosed -2ºC, with a 500mm covering of snow – so much snow that you can even try building a snowman – and offering a year-round chill spot in this, our beloved land of the eternal sun.

Don’t forget your beanies and mittens because this enchanted-themed snow park may just make you want to stay there forever. From a Snowflake Garden to a Crystal Carousel, the Enchanted Tree, Blizzard’s Bazaar, Flurries’ Mountain and more yet to be announced – we cannot wait to check it out!
