An account with the username @world_record_egg on Instagram was created for the sole purpose of beating the world record of most Instagram likes on a single picture. The creator of the account has posted only one post with the below caption announcing the challenge:
“Let’s set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this 🙌”
As soon as the record was broken literally overnight, the account’s bio has been updated to:
“• Official world record holders of the most liked picture on Instagram.
• Now where’s our blue tick?
📩[email protected]”
The previous record was held by Kylie Jenner and it was this picture featuring her daughter Stormi Webster.
