Food Tour pt.3 // Dinner // Dubai Design District

Dubai Design District (also known as D3 more commonly) – is a hub for the designers, artists and creative thinkers in Dubai, and is also becoming the new IT spot for a bite to eat. Located right behind Dubai’s Downtown area, Dubai Design District is the perfect place to head to over the weekend for something to eat, and a nice walk around to visit their fashion concept stores, chic galleries, and the showrooms of our regions up and coming designers.

Luckily the home of The Modern East is right here in the Dubai Design District, so we often trek out and try all of the new spots for some grub. (and yes, we do this solely for the purpose of research :P)

For the last leg of our food tour we head out to D3 for dinner. Whether you want to go for a fine dining experience, or a cool and hip spot to chill with friends, Dubai Design District has some great dinner options. Check out our top 3 picks for restaurants to go to for dinner in Dubai Design District.

Dinner

Chez Charles

First to make our list is this fine dining experience – Chez Charles. This contemporary French restaurant has an incredible menu of starters, sharing dishes (or not :P) and some specialty items. Some of our top picks? The Sea Salt Crushed Turbot, Braised Lamb Shank and of course the Creamy Burrata.

Akiba Dori

This Japanese restaurant is a super cool place to head out to dinner with a group of friends. With some arcade fun and some Japanese Pizza – what’s their not to love. This spot is more on the casual side, and is made for sharing. Our top picks? The Crunchy Calamari, the Tuna Tacos and the Spicy Tuna Maki.

Molecule

This contemporary Mediterranean restaurant/gallery/lounge is a great in between for dinner. Not too much on the fancy side, yet not too casual – just a happy medium. Molecule has an outdoor terrace as well as a cool and contemporary dining area. Some of our faves? The Baked Mediterranean Sea Bass, the Fettuccine Piemontesi and the Tuna Tartare.
