The Sharjah Reading Festival is back, but this time with a twist – it’s virtual! Connecting intellectuals and creative minds from all over the world, the 10-day virtual festival is taking place from the 27^th of May to the 5^th of June 2020. The virtual festival hopes to promote access to culture and books during a period when we are all spending more time at home and bring the community together in a safe and smart way.

Announcing the launch of the Sharjah Virtual Reading Festival, Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of SBA discussed that promotion of science, knowledge, and culture are the main pillars of Sharjah’s cultural project as well as emphasized on the responsibility towards intellectuals and readers.

All members of the community are welcome to join in this online reading festival which aims to see a plethora of acclaimed writers and authors both locally and internationally coming together to create and offer creative literary sessions as well as interactive workshops.
