I don’t know about you, but I find the coffee culture in a city to be a real game-changer. I will easily drive 30 to 45 minutes to go to a place where the ambiance, coffee and sweets menu is known to be extraordinary. Well… Sharjah has just that, see below the top coffee shops there.

I often hear people mention how much they miss the art scene in their home countries. If you really want to get involved in the art scene here, believe me you can! Sharjah may just be the perfect place to start:
Al Noor Island: a whole experience that will make every member of the family happy. Visit the butterfly house, the cactus garden, the literature pavilion, art sculptures and admire the award winning architecture.
Mleiha Centre: Surfing on the eco-tourism trend wave, Mleiha archaeological centre aims at educating and entertaining visitors. Located in the deep desert of Sharjah, the centre aims at taking visitors back to the past and let them experience the bedouin culture. Activities include, paragliding, dune bashing, dune trekking, museum visit and on site
Self described as the home of artistic dining and progressive gastronomy, Black Salt is one of the only places dedicated to molecular gastronomy in the country. And please, look at the amazing presentation.

More traditional but a must-have nevertheless is Italiere, an Italian restaurant filled with natives. Always a good sign!

Not everyone finds museums fun, and that’s totally fine. For more fun activities, why not check out the Aquarium, the Arabian wildlife center and Al Jazeera Park?
