One of my new year’s resolutions is to be more environmentally conscious and aware of my footprint – we only have one Earth so need to treat it with respect and do what we can to protect it for generations to come. One of the easiest ways to make a difference is by supporting eco friendly brands who are ethical and sustainable and we found four who are deserve a shout out for their efforts!

Origins

They are all about sourcing natural ingredients and look for non-toxic alternatives which you would think should be a given for beauty companies – but apparently not! They harness renewable energy reducing their carbon footprint and use recycled cardboard for their packaging (which honestly everyone should be doing). They also aim to contribute zero waste to landfills and never ever use Styrofoam (Hallelujah). My favourite part is that they’ve planted over 750,000 trees to help support the environment. Now this is eco friendly!

Aveeno

They are all about putting eco-friendly solutions first so that means they produce packaging with less materials and utilise recycled and recyclable materials for their products. They are also big supporters of community development so you know when you are using their eco friendly products you are doing your part to help a little too (whilst beautifying yourself of course!)

Caudalie

I’ve only just recently discovered this brand (I know it’s been around for ages though!) but not only are their products incredibly beautiful and effective but 1% of their gross sales are donated to saving the planet. Caudalie has planted over 4 million trees to help reforesting efforts – that’s an incredible contribution.

Herbivore

You’ve probably seen this brand all over Instagram because their packaging and products are absolutely beautiful but I bet you didn’t know that they are a natural brand and that their products are free from toxins! They also are proudly cruelty free (I mean shouldn’t all brands be cruelty free by now?) and their packaging is recyclable and reusable.
