Beauty brands, locally born, and some really kick a** products – I mean it’s literally music to my Modern East ears. There is nothing that makes me prouder to be from here, then seeing these local success stories. From the multimillion dollar cult brand Huda Beauty, to our wonderful Wow by Wojooh crafted for the ME girl, to ultra-glam Natasha Zaki pro MUA that launched her very own brand Glossy Make Up – there is so much beauty talent in our region that just makes my heart burst with pride.
These brands really embody what The Modern East is all about. So sit back, scroll through and check out 10 of these amazing locally born beauty brands, and show them some love by supporting and trying out some of their fab products!
The private label of Wojooh – our very own beauty chain in the region – Wow by Wojooh is a locally born makeup brand that has also recently dipped its toes into bath and body. Wow by Wojooh is designed for the women of the Middle East but all made in fancy labs in Europe. This makeup brand is one to watch – and defs try if you’re a beauty addict like me! You will be sure to get hooked. (oh and did I mention that it has a very friendly price tag)

Well this one needs no introduction – Huda Kattan is THE biggest beauty queen in the world. Not only does she have an insane 30.3 million following on Instagram, but she is also the founder of a multi-million-dollar beauty brand Huda Beauty. This Iraqi American also lives right here in our neck of the woods in Dubai – YAS! We are obsessed with her products, especially her insane eyeshadow palettes.

Beauty blogger turned beauty business woman, Natasha Zaki is a forced to be reckoned with! Starting off her career as a makeup artist, where she worked with the likes of Cara Delivigne, Jourdan Dunn and Caggie Dunlop, Natasha quickly became an expert in beauty. She then created the wonderful Glossy Makeup to answer the needs of her customers: beautiful and flawless lashes! She now not only does lashes but also makeup brushes and accessories.

Bassam Fattouh – Lebanese makeup artist – launched his very own makeup line. The renowned makeup artist believed that ‘In order to look beautiful, you have to FEEL BEAUTIFUL’. The range covers all categories, from face, eyes, lips, brushes and other makeup accessories.

Another great lash brand to come out of our region: Pinky Goat. Pinky Goat lashes are a hit within the beauty community, from Beauty Influencers, to beauty obsessed girls – everyone is using them. Not only do they do lashes but also have some eye brow products as well as lash accessories.
