Going out for dinner at a romantic restaurant has been a staple date night idea for eons. Treating yourself to some amazing food, lovely ambiance, and great company can make for a perfect evening. Many couples have their favorite local spots to hit up for special occasions. But, certain restaurants around the globe just seem to have a knack for creating an atmosphere of romance. From here you can enjoy fabulous food and unrivaled views of the City of Light. The menu offers a tasting menu of either 5 or 7 courses, all gorgeously prepared.

This place has elegance and romance down to a science. The interior of the restaurant is just stunning. A large fireplace at the center makes the surroundings feel especially warm and inviting. There are cherry blossoms blooming inside, their blooms hovering overhead and stretching towards the glass ceiling. The ambiance here borders on the unreal. The décor is meant to evoke thoughts of the French countryside, and the quaint inns found there. The incredible cuisine is similarly inspired. There’s live music that helps to set the mood, but is not in the least obtrusive. This is the epitome of romantic restaurants, and has been consistently voted the World’s Most Romantic Restaurant.

Not so much known for its romance, as it is for its constant hustle and bustle, you might be surprised to see a restaurant in New York City make the list. However, this charming spot has been the setting for many a marriage proposal. The eatery is actually a converted carriage house. Exposed brick, twinkling candelabras, and warm rich wood floors, help to set the mood. It certainly makes for a warm and luxurious atmosphere.
One if By Land, Two If By Sea has even earned the title of one of the top 5 most romantic restaurants in the world according to Architectural Digest magazine. There are several different dining rooms, and each one comes with its own appeal. The eatery also follows the tasting menu approach to dining, giving it the advantage of using only the freshest ingredients. Just one look at the place and it’s not difficult to feel the sparks fly.
