Visit: Geneva, Switzerland!

If you’re ever planning out a country to visit in Europe, Switzerland is the place! Geneva is a MUST visit city… It’s actually one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever visited in Switzerland. Surrounded by the Alps and outstanding views of the dramatic Mont Blanc, there’s no doubt that it allows one to feel all the serenity there is in the world with its breathtaking beauty and nature.

So, if you have never been to Geneva, let me do the honors and be your city tour guide on some of the places you must see before you leave this beautiful city.

Lake Geneva

“Lake Geneva” is Geneva’s largest lake and it is a must see! It’s a trip not to be missed, as you will have access to see one of the most scenic views in Switzerland. The best part is, you can go from one part of the city to another on its ‘Mouettes Genevoises’ (motor-launches), or you can explore the lake on one of the regular boats! A win-win situation!

Not to mention, it actually curves along the border of France! Also, the peak of Mont Blanc will be visible. Through the lake you will be able to visit some of the most popular places near Geneva! So, what are you waiting for?? Book your ticket ASAP!

Parc des Bastions

Is there something more beautiful than enjoying a quiet, astonishing, botanical garden? Well Parc des Bastions is a perfect place for the both adults and kids! The adults can have some time to relax between the greenery and nature, while the kids can enjoy their time playing with the checkers board placed on the ground, as well as the playground!

It also houses the Reformation Wall, a monumental wall that stretches about 100m and honors many of the main individuals, and documents the Protestant Reformation by depicting them in statues.

During the winter, the Christmas Market transforms the park  into an enchanting park called: “Noel aux Bastions”. So, what is more convivial than a hot chocolate or fondue in an all-wooden chalet in the heart of this beautiful Christmas Market in the middle of abundant lights and scenery?

Vieille Ville

The Vieille Ville or “Old Town” in Geneva is the most popular tourist attraction in the country and is dominated by St. Peter’s Cathedral and huge landmarks, in addition to the Maison Tavel museum.

While visiting this old town make sure to climb the 157 steps to the top of the tower for a unique panorama of the city, then take a walk between the old cities street and passageways to discover more about Geneva’s history!
