Dubai is much like any big metropolitan city with its fast pace and 24/7 buzz; it can be a little overwhelming, particularly if you’re new and you’re still finding your rhythm here. We all love a good Hollywood Blockbuster, but it can also be great to change it up and try out something different, and this independent arthouse cinema is perfect for something a little more unique. Working in partnership with Alserkal Avenue, expect films from across the globe, through the decades – unearthing unexpected talent and fostering the arts at the heart of Dubai’s creative centre.

A little retreat, or city getaway right on your doorstep, this multi-faith spiritual centre can be found nestled in Dubai’s Jumeriah district. With unassuming surroundings and a sense of lightness about the place, the house offers a range of soulful activities from fitness classes to meditation sessions.
Ras al Khaimah and Oman are so easy to get to – whether you choose a quick flight or road trip, they’re easy (not to mention beautiful) destinations for a simple weekend getaway.
