I love the name of this beach so much and apart from the entrance being a little tricky to find, I’m not really sure why it’s called a secret. It’s a beautiful calm spot for friends and family to hang out. The waters are protected and crystal clear. Pack up a cooler and beach blanket and head on down.

Kite Beach

Slightly more lively than secret beach, this is one of the beaches Dubai is famous for. It’s recently had some development and is ideal for kite surfers and water sports enthusiasts – I have even been known to take out a stand up paddle board! If volleyball is more your vibe, you are still in luck with a net set up and ready to play. For the runners out there, there’s a 14km track to fulfil your jogging dreams. For the foodies there’s a bunch of food trucks including @findsalt and the beach is under the close watch of the beautiful and iconic Burj Al Arab.

Um Al Quwain Dog Friendly Beach

Our neighbours told me about this beach and it’s got such a cool vibe. There’s a beach bar and cafe, beanbags, hammocks, shady trees and best of all it’s dog friendly. It’s the perfect day out to bring your pooch and chill especially whilst the weather is pure perfection. Vibey beats, kite surfing, kayak and or stand up paddle boarding are all on offer and the waters are crystal clear and the beautiful white sand.

Saadiyat

For all our Abu Dhabians one of the beaches is this one. Honestly looks like it is straight out of Mauritius because the sand is so pure! With the blue waters licking the shoreline it creates an impressive back drop for some beachy hangs. From beach yoga to sailing there’s plenty of activities to keep you busy, but to be honest I would just go here to soak up the serenity. It’s so beautiful in fact that Hawksbill Turtles call this beach their home (though their hatching sites are strictly protected).

My favourite time to go here is in the late afternoon for a stroll along the shoreline as the sun sets. The Burj Al Arab is a stone’s throw away meaning you get some pretty amazing shots if you’re in to photography (or even for your Instastories). For the book worms there’s even beach libraries that you can borrow a good book to read whilst you chill on the sandy shores. BYO snacks and drinks though.
